'Lou Reed' is the first single released May 15, 2020 taken from 'Ready to Break', a music project by punk poet, Wasps vs Humans. Fusing cabin fever drive with reflective vibes during corona virus lockdown, the performer rediscovers his guitar and songwriting, shedding his punk poetry persona to produce a set of songs with an alternative punk and folk edge.

Inspired by Lou Reed's lyrical style, 'Lou Reed' is the first of two single releases for the month of May, featuring electric guitar by Liam O Shea (The Grunts) and co produced by Cormac O Connor (Maple Rooms studio).

Over the last ten years, Wasps vs Humans has performed as a punk poet and has gigged across Ireland, linking up with the likes of Jinx Lennon and Irish Dundalk rappers TPM. Guest spots have included John Cooper Clarke, Whipping Boy and a daring opening for The Fall.
